POLAR BEAR FOUND DEAD AT THE MIDLAND ZOO

Homer was the oldest bear at he zoo at the time of his death.

According to Dr. Shanda Lear, "the zoo wil perform a necropsy to try to determine teh cause of death."

A bobcat and giraffe were also recently found dead but their deaths were due to different causes.

Zoo director Chris P. Bacon said, "We will do everything in our power to determine how this bear died."

The polar bears enjoy living in their environment so it's a small possibilty that Homer's death was caused by the exhibit.

POLAR BEAR FOUND DEAD AT THE MIDLAND ZOO

Homer, the oldest polar bear ar the zoo, was found floatiung in the exhibit's pool at 7 a.m.

The cause of death is unknown as a necropsy will be performed to determine the cauuse of death say ssenior staff veterinarian Dr. Shanda Lear

A bobcat and giraffe were found dead in the last month, but their cause of death were unrelated.

Zoo director Chris P. Bacon said, "We will do everything in our power to determine how this bear died."
